GaithersburgMarijuana.clinic — Maryland Medical Cannabis for the Home of NIST

Built for Gaithersburg

Gaithersburg is one of Maryland's largest and most technologically significant cities — a community of nearly 70,000 residents in Montgomery County, home to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) headquarters and major technology and life sciences employers. GaithersburgMarijuana.clinic is an online directory and telehealth scheduling platform connecting Gaithersburg residents with MCA-registered Maryland providers for medical cannabis certifications.

We are not a medical practice, dispensary, or pharmacy. We connect patients with qualified providers and guide them through Maryland's registration and certification process — from Olde Towne and Kentlands to Lakelands, the Washingtonian Center, and every Gaithersburg neighborhood.

How We Operate

MCA-Registered Providers

Every provider on our platform holds an active Maryland medical license (MD, DO, or NP) and is registered with the Maryland Cannabis Administration to issue patient certifications.

HIPAA Protected

All telehealth appointments are conducted on HIPAA-compliant platforms. Gaithersburg patients' health information is handled with complete confidentiality throughout the process.

MCA-Compliant

Every certification follows MCA requirements. Patients register first at Maryland OneStop, then complete the provider visit — the order Maryland's program requires.

How Maryland's Program Works

The Maryland Cannabis Administration (MCA) requires patients to register first, before seeing a provider. A Gaithersburg patient creates a free account at Maryland OneStop, registers as a patient, and receives a 16-character Patient ID. The patient then books a telehealth appointment with an MCA-registered provider, bringing the Patient ID to the visit. If a qualifying condition applies, the provider issues a written certification through the MCA system. The patient can then purchase at any licensed Maryland dispensary statewide using their government-issued ID and Patient ID — no physical card required, though one may be ordered for $25.

Maryland's Open Qualifying Conditions

Maryland's program names specific qualifying conditions — severe or chronic pain, PTSD, severe nausea, seizures, severe or persistent muscle spasms, glaucoma, cachexia, anorexia, and wasting syndrome — but also grants providers discretion to certify any other chronic or debilitating condition for which other treatments have proven ineffective. This broader standard gives Gaithersburg patients more flexibility than states with a fixed, closed list of qualifying conditions.

How This Platform Is Funded

GaithersburgMarijuana.clinic is an advertising platform. MCA-registered providers pay for patient connection and marketing services. Those commercial relationships are disclosed in our Advertising Disclosure and play no role in any provider's clinical decisions. Questions? Use the contact form on our Terms & Policies page.
